Counselling in Cheam and Croydon
Counselling is an opportunity to talk through, with a professional, problems you may be experiencing now or problems from your past which you feel may be affecting you today. Counselling is confidential, once weekly and for 50 minutes. There is an agreement at the beginning of counselling, about the length of time counselling should be for and this can be changed according to progress and individual needs.
What Conditions Can it Help? Counselling can help many conditions affecting everyday life. It gives an opportunity to gain some insight into what might be happening and can help anxiety, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders and many other psychopathologies which can affect our everyday life.
What Benefits can be Expected? Counselling is not always plain sailing. There can be days when you feel sad or angry after a session when painful material has been talked about - but this can lead to "working through" these feelings so it becomes more easy to move on and forward to a happier life. The counsellor is here to support you on your journey and the once weekly sessions allow you to bring back to therapy the following week any uncomfortable feelings which may have come up for you. I am here to support you and help you process and move forward with these feelings.
